Iowa will attempt to stay in the top 5 of the college football playoff rankings when it hosts Purdue today at 12:00PM ET in what should be a relatively low-scoring game.
FOUR-BACK ATTACK: Iowa expects to have all four of the running backs in their rotation – Jordan Canzeri, LeShun Daniels Jr., Akrum Wadley and Derrick Mitchell Jr., – available for the first time since mid-September. Iowa kept its flawless season alive after a 40-35 win over Minnesota last week. Purdue last faced a 10-0 team in 2002, when it threw a major scare into the eventual national champions from Ohio State before losing 10-6… They are led by a terrific defense that is only allowing 18.4 points per game.
Early in the second quarter, quarterback C.J. Beathard found Matt VandeBerg on a flare pass, and he was able to follow excellent blocking into the endzone. He has added 268 rushing yards as well. Domonique Young led in receiving with 107 yards and one touchdown in five catches.
NOW FOR BLOUGH: One bright spot for Purdue this season has been the play of redshirt freshman quarterback David Blough.

There have also been a few predictions for the how the Boilermakers and Hawkeyes will perform in the wintry conditions. However, Purdue has been far too inconsistent, with somewhat impressive performances against Nebraska and Northwestern book-ending a blowout loss to IL.
