United States must push Arab leaders to confront IS: Clinton

“A staggering 92 percent of all voters now regard radical Islamic terrorism as a serious threat to the United States”.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the Paris attack last week in which at least 130 people were killed and hundreds were injured. “The obsession in a few quarters with a clash of civilization or repeating the specific words, “radical Islamic terrorism” isn’t just a distraction”.

“Our prayers are with the people of France tonight”, Clinton said at the on Saturday, “but that is not enough”.

The endorsement represents another show of strength for Clinton, who has locked up most of the major unions despite Sanders’ message of helping workers overcome income inequality.

After her address she sat down with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria and she once again stated that her top priority is defeating ISIS rather than removing Assad from power.

The health care credit will cover what Clinton’s campaign described as “excessive” out-of-pocket expenditures.

Clinton’s proposed tax credit reflect a broadening rift with the other candidates in the Democratic field.

Clinton, the former secretary of state, repeated her call for creating “no-fly” zones in northern Syria, which Obama has rejected; sharply criticised Turkey and Saudi Arabia, USA allies that have been on-again, off-again partners in the effort against Islamic State; and said the U.S. should make clear to the Iraqi government that Washington will arm Sunni Arab militias and Kurdish forces in Iraq with or without Baghdad’s cooperation.

The majority of Americans say the country is at war with Islamic terrorism, according to a new poll taken in the aftermath of last week’s terrorist attacks in France.

“It cannot be contained; it must be defeated”, she recently said.

Clinton, who was in the midst of a campaign swing through the South, has tried to create a wedge on taxes with her main rival for the nomination, Vermont Sen.

“Hillary Clinton can’t walk away from President Obama’s failing ISIS strategy because she helped craft it and even praised it”, Michael Short, the spokesman for the Republican National Committee, said in a statement on Wednesday.

While a few Republican candidates have argued that the Syrian refugees should not be allowed to resettle inside the USA, Clinton said she approves of Obama’s plan to resettle thousands of Syrian refugees in the next year.

That also ties in with the third element of Clinton’s strategy – protecting the U.S. against homegrown as well as external threats. I don’t think we’re at war with all Muslims.

“So I think we should all provide that kind of help through a tax credit so that nobody goes without the health care they need”, she added.

For instance, while Clinton called for a U.S. effort to support Arab armies on the ground to rout ISIS, she did not explain exactly how that would happen. “We must all come together to end this scourge”.

Late on Wednesday night, Clinton gave another preview of what she would say on Thursday.
