Last week, Honduran authorities intercepted six Syrian nationals traveling on doctored Greek passports, including five who had been trying to reach the United States.
According to the Minister of Security, Gustavo Mata, the woman will now be “processed for the crime of use of a false document”.
The authorities said the woman had flown to Costa Rica from Peru.
Costa Rica is investigating whether or not the woman has any link with the case in Honduras, where two days ago five Syrian men were arrested in the Tegucigalpa airport carrying stolen Greek passports.
