Anthony Crolla desperate for redemption in Darleys Perez rematch
It’s not just any fight night, it’s one of the most anticipated rematches of the year, as Darleys Perez returns to the Manchester Arena to defend his WBA lightweight title against Anthony Crolla. The other had challenger Crolla winning by five rounds.

“This time I feel the fight will be more explosive, with more exchanges and could end up being a bit of a dogfight at times”.
But despite his remarkable recovery, Crolla says he does not want to be remembered as the man who overcame adversity and almost won a world title.
Crolla said: “Martin can definitely take the title from Arthur on Saturday”. In the last fight there were times that I out boxed him, times I hurt him, and that gives me huge confidence.
Colombian-native Perez retained the WBA lightweight title after the majority draw back in July in Manchester, England, despite twice being deducted points for low blows. He’s a great guy and a great fighter, and I’ll be cheering him on [on Saturday] – if he gets the win and I beat Barroso, we’ll serve up a massive fight in the spring’.
‘I thought that Anthony won the first fight with Perez.
“I’ve got a second bite of the cherry on Saturday and with the controversy surrounding last time and everyone believing I’d done enough to win a world title, I’m going to make sure I go out there and do that”.
