Live from NY, it’s Saturday night protests!

Donald Trump’s appearance on “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend brought NBC its biggest audience in two years.

It’s a pretty unusual one, too, set in a future where Trump is president.

When Trump, or any presidential candidate for that matter, talks in detail about political issues, it’s generally divisive. But in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, SNL cast member Taran Killam said Trump wasn’t exactly giving the executive orders up in 30 Rock.

Trump spent most of his energy targeting Democrat Hillary Clinton, but he also offered up jabs at Jeb Bush and other candidates.

China, the senator explained, likely dislikes the deal as much as he and Trump, saying: “There is an argument that China doesn’t like the deal, because in us doing the deal we will be trading with competitors”.

CNN says while Trump may be speaking against himself since he obviously supported Starbucks before the controversy, his latest stint is one of his propagandas to get the Christian evangelicals’ votes for next year’s elections. Their calls were amplified by several Latino celebrities like Al Madrigal of The Daily Show, comedian George Lopez and famed actor John Lenguizamo, who said he would not watch SNL any longer. “I’d hate to give up all my information up front”. Whereas a week before you may have felt you were living your dream? The premise of the sketch alone is funnier than most of what we saw this past Saturday and – after watching the clip – so is the execution.

So what does Trump do to cover for his weakness? And who can blame him?

“The incompetent, rudderless Obama administration’s negligence in foreign policy, trade and national security is making America less confident, less prosperous and less safe”, Mr. Trump wrote in an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal posted online Monday evening.

Trump sees the Texas presidential primary, set for March 1, as an important step toward winning the GOP nomination for president. “Maybe we should boycott Starbucks?” he asked the crowd that started to shower his comments with applause and cheers. And don’t be surprised if Trump picks a Twitter fight with Kanye West, Miley Cyrus and a slew of Kardashians. So far Trump’s in your face style and lack of details during his campaign has done little to diminish his standings in the polls.

True enough, the march did not hinder high ratings for SNL. So what’s it going to be?
