Theater etiquette rules are fairly straightforward: don’t be late, keep quiet during the show and if you are not a cast or crew member, stay off the stage.

You read that right – the man jumped onto the stage and plugged his phone in to charge on the actual set – in a fake socket. Apparently, after the phone was retrieved from the stage and returned to its owner, he’s quoted as saying, “Well, where can I charge it?”
Hand To God actor Sarah Stiles questioned whether the audience member was influenced by a full moon or if he was just an idiot.
Eyewitness Chris York wrote about the incident on Facebook, saying that the crew stopped the play and removed the man’s phone before making an announcement about why it wasn’t allowed. “@HandtoGodBway #fullmoon or #idiot?”
The patron tried to recharge his mobile device in what looked like an outlet just before the production of Broadway’s Hand to God on July 2 in New York.

Fellow cast member Marc Kudisch also took to Twitter to let future audience members know that the electrical socket was not real, and was part of the set.
