U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton calls for more aggressive action in
“Our goal is not to deter or contain ISIS, but to defeat and destroy ISIS”, Clinton said.

She said the surge would help the USA and its allies to identify and eliminate ISIL’s command and control as well as its economic lifelines.
Clinton spoke less than a week after a shooting and bombing attack in Paris killed 129 people in Paris and wounded hundreds more. But while such a proposal is hardly minor, it’s worth remembering that it has little direct relevance to the fight against ISIS since the group doesn’t have planes.
And since there are no simple solutions to the problems presented by Isis, no presidential candidate wants to tell the American public that there’s nothing to be done – or that nobody knows what precisely to do. Among her ideas: a no-fly zone, support for local troops, and a new authorization for the U.S.to use force in the region.
Speaking just before her primary rival Vermont Sen.
Republicans have repeatedly tried to link Clinton to the foreign policy of Obama, who they say have underestimated the threat posed by the Islamic State.
Hillary can’t whitewash her record with tough talk. Moments later, Sanders and third candidate Martin O’Malley also declined to use “radical Islam”. That, too, sounds like Obama – but so far has proven tragically ineffective. But despite suggesting that Obama needs to do more, and do it faster, Hillary nonetheless maintained that she wasn’t proposing wholesale changes to Obama’s current strategy.
Clinton praised Obama in February, saying that “a lot of the right moves are being made”.
On Thursday, Ms Clinton refused to take the bait when she was asked whether Mr Obama had underestimated IS.
At no point during her speech did Clinton mention her Democratic opponents. And Clinton pointed Saturday to her calls to train and equip moderate rebels in Syria “very early on”.
She underscored that position again Thursday. How will Hillary Clinton defeat ISIS?
“European nations don’t always alert each other when they turn away a suspected jihadist or when a passport is stolen”, she said. Ted Cruz and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, two GOP 2016 hopefuls who have said the United States should focus on helping Syrian Christians first. “There is clear intelligence value to be extracted from the ISIS accounts we examined”, the report says.
“The ground campaign in Iraq will only succeed if more Iraqi Sunnis join the fight”, Clinton said. “It would be a cruel irony indeed if ISIS can force families from their homes and then also prevent them from ever finding new ones”.
Clinton’s supporters insist that, if she captures the party’s nomination, she can be competitive in Tennessee in the general election.
Then-New York senator Clinton in 2002 supported George W. Bush’s push for war.
Fallon said Clinton had been instrumental in securing aid funding for the region impacted by the attacks, which included much of NY City’s banking district. But it does call for the mobilization of the USA military in broader air strikes in Syria.
The latest survey was conducted in the days after the second Democratic debate last weekend, which came in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris. And let’s not forget: She was the one who gave him that “reset” button.
“Our highest priority, of course, must always be protecting the American people”.
She also said that the United States should step up its efforts to deny ISIS territory in Syria and Iraq.

Clinton sought to differentiate herself from her Republican opponents who want to stop Syrian Muslim refugees from entering the US, according to the NY Times. “I feel that ISIS is integrated with the refugees and we do not have the capabilities to properly vet the people, so at this point”.
