RB Peterson sees positive shift for Vikings
Lacy, who sat out the Lions game with a groin injury, was a full participant at practice for a second straight day Thursday. Give owner Zygi Wilf credit for this, he pushed most of the business suits away from football operations to concentrate on their new stadium which will be finished next year, and gave the general manager job to Rick Spielman.

“He’s banged up”, head coach Mike McCarthy admitted to reporters before practice. Cincinnati and Pittsburgh was a pretty good rivalry. “But I think Teddy’s got an extremely bright future, he’s a heck of a quarterback and I’m glad he’s mine”. “I wouldn’t say I hated them, but dislike, yeah”. This week, it doesn’t get much easier, with a talented, experienced, and most importantly, physical secondary coming to face them. “We’ll keep trying to get Trae in there when we can”. But our guys understand this could be a big game. “I gave myself enough of a hard time”, Johnson said of the ribbing he took from teammates on the Lions (2-7) after the game.
In a span of three weeks, the Green Bay Packers have gone from having a stranglehold on the NFC North to having to play catchup to the Minnesota Vikings. “Guys know that this is the year for us”, cornerback Captain Munnerlyn said. “He’s the best player in the league in my opinion”. He can make every throw and look you off and throw the opposite way, and he can run. If he can hold down Randall Cobb or Rodgers just refuses to throw Cobb the ball, then the Packers offense is in big trouble. The unit has been leaky at times, allowing 500 passing yards from Philip Rivers as one example, but have been tough in the red zone and, generally speaking, have been giving the team a chance to win games.
FILE – In this Sunday, November 1, 2015 file photo, Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy (27) runs … We definitely need a win.
With Matt Forte out, Chicago has gotten breakout performances from rookie Jeremy Langford with 324 scrimmage yards (145 rushing, 179 receiving) and three TDs in two games.
Don’t, and you may be playing for your playoff lives.
“We have to be really smart in our rush lanes”, defensive end Brian Robison said.
The Packers meanwhile will have to contend with league-leading rusher Adrian Peterson, who is the main reason for the team’s No. 1 ranking in rushing offense (147.2 yards per game). “I think that’s the difference”, Rodgers said, via Jason Wilde of ESPN.com. “There’s a lot of football ahead of us”. “This is the type of game where you have to be sound”. Sooner or later, he will wear you down and take advantage. The fact that the Vikings are at home (and plenty of tickets are still available) could play heavily into the outcome.
When you do, it gets a little spooky.
Lacy said he’s not concerned about his stats, but about getting Green Bay’s season turned around.
Conventional thinking going into this season had the Vikings becomming a challenger, but a contender? “The Vikings are bringing a legit team to the table that can compete with anybody in this league”.

That isn’t because the Minnesota Vikings are a few great team, because they are not. He had eight stops in the win over the Rams and nine more in the win at Oakland. Says here they will. I guess the point here is that it isn’t that the Vikings are great, the problem is that the Packers are awful, and I don’t see that miraculously turning around in one week any more than playing at Lambeau Field was going to change things.
