Four Israelis were stabbed in the southern city of Kiryat Gat on Saturday in what police described as a terrorist attack. The unrest quickly spread throughout Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
WAFA correspondent reported on local anti-settlement and wall activist Muhammad ‘Awad as saying that Israeli forces stormed the town, and proceeded to break into and ransack a house of a local former detainee, triggering clashes with locals.
The latest wave of tensions was triggered by Israel’s imposition in August of restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East al-Quds (Jerusalem).
His visit would focus on “stopping the violence in Israel, Jerusalem and the West Bank”, as well as on Syria and the Islamic State, the officials said.
“The 18-year-old was volunteering in the West Bank on Thursday, delivering food to Israeli soldiers, when he was killed”.
The army did not say how close the woman had been to carrying out an attack or release a video of the incident.
“A Palestinian man at Kfar Adumim junction in a Palestinian taxi tried to run over civilians”, a statement said.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Ramallah on trip to the region, the U.S. State Department said on Saturday.
Two Israelis killed in the Tel Aviv attack when a Palestinian stormed into an office building with a knife were buried in separate funerals also on Friday.
A spate of stabbings in recent months has resulted in the deaths of 86 Palestinians (many alleged assailants), 15 Israelis, an American and an Eritrean.
