Anonymous says ISIS planning to attack WWE event

Britt Johnson, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Atlanta field office, said in a statement emailed to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Despite the serious threat of a terrorist attack, there is no intention to cancel the WWE Survivor Series.

Atlanta resident Hallie Mather said: “I do take these things seriously and I think that if the Federal Bureau of Investigation thinks that it’s something that we should be concerned about that it’s definitely something that we should be concerned about”.

Regardless of the threats, the WWE, Atlanta Hawks and Phillips Arena also released a statement to WSB-TV stating that Sunday’s event will continue as planned.

On November 21, the global Business Times reported that ISIS was possibly planning an attack in or around Atlanta’s Philips Arena, the host venue for Sunday evening’s WWE Survivor Series spectacular.

The legitimacy of these claims are still uknown.

Survivor Series is all set and the WWE Universe will finally find out who the new heavyweight champion will be.

ISIS terror group attacked several locations in the city of Paris including the Bataclan Concert Hall killing more than hundreds.

A spokeswoman for the Georgia World Congress Center – which operates that facility, the Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park – said that “in response to recent world events, fans may notice enhanced security, including increased law enforcement presence” on Sunday.

The Atlanta stadium isn’t the only place that ISIS planned on targeting according to the group sometimes referred to as being ‘hacktivists’.

Hacker collective Anonymous’s all-out online assault against ISIS-or Daesh-may have born tangible rotten fruit in the form of warnings about threats against various events worldwide posted Friday.
