The Lebanese army said an Israeli drone crashed into the sea off the port of the northern coastal city of Tripoli on Saturday.

A security official said the pilotless aircraft crashed into the sea.
Al-Nahar, a Lebanese newspaper, uploaded photographs of the supposed Israeli drone’s wreckage.
Lebanon’s government, the Hezbollah resistance movement, and the UN Interim Force in Lebanon, UNIFIL, have repeatedly condemned the overflights, saying they are in clear violation of UN Resolution 1701 and the country’s sovereignty.
“Around 8:30 am (0530 GMT), a drone belonging to the Israeli enemy fell in the port of Tripoli”, said the military statement.
“Fishermen had the impression a plane was falling down towards their harbor, close to the main port of Tripoli”, said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
On June 21, an Israeli war jet bombed another Israeli drone that had crashed in the east Lebanon town of Saghbin.
In response to the allegedly felled aircraft, an IDF spokesperson quipped that the Israeli Army does not “comment on foreign reports”.

Last February, Lebanese media reported that a Lebanese drone entered Israel, near Rosh Hanikra on the Mediterranean coast, and flew over the Galilee for 20 minutes before returning to Lebanon.
