Adele “overwhelmed” as she reveals album release was a ‘long time coming’
That’s because the singer’s new album, “25”, which may be the most anticipated album of all time, isn’t available for streaming on Apple Music, Spotify or Rhapsody.

However if you do want a digital copy, you can purchase one via iTunes in which Apple stated that they are “thrilled to offer” the album digitally.
Apple bosses reversed their policy and agreed to pay artists during the trial period after reading Swift’s letter, and she subsequently gave them permission to stream her album.
If “25” is streaming by, say, mid-2016, that would be a significantly smaller window, which would tell us more about how Adele’s team see the interplay between sales and streams.
With the move, Adele becomes the most high-profile holdout from streaming since Taylor Swift, who pulled her catalog off Spotify previous year as she released her blockbuster album “1989”.
Predictions are that she’ll cash in on the move, and sell as many as 3.5 million copies of “25” within the first week. According to the Belfast Telegraph, Adele created a persona named “Jenny” and altered her look with prosthetics applied to her nose and chin.
All in all, Adele’s 25 is already poised to be one of the top albums of this year with or without streaming.
The NY Times reported that Adele “is said to have been personally involved with the decisions about streaming”.
If you’re wondering why Adele avoided the streaming services, Radio.com revealed the answer would be the unique predicament that the “Someone Like You” singer has found herself in.
The album ends on an uplifting note, with the chiming Sweetest Devotion, a love song to Adele’s three-year-old son.
However, a few superstars, including Adele, Taylor Swift, and Beyoncé, have enough clout to dictate the terms of their music’s release. This excludes two of today’s biggest music streaming platforms from benefiting off the hype of the album’s release this weekend and beyond.
Will Hodgkinson, for The Times, awarded her four stars but said there was “nothing” to equal hit song Someone Like You. On Saturday, Adele will perform on Saturday Night Live.

The album, which is set for release Friday, will be pirated of course – published illicitly on file sharing web sites and on sites like YouTube.
