Obama says Assad must go to end Syria civil war

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Moscow was ready to work with the Western coalition striking ISIS if its members respect Syria’s sovereignty.
He also said that due to the Russian aerial attacks, the number of militants entering Syria in order to join or train with ISIS – terrorists who could return to Europe and other areas to carry out attacks similar to those that struck Paris last week – has been reduced.
Assad spoke at length about the presence of Islamic State terrorists in his country, blaming their existence on the West. He said the militant group grew and flourished in Iraq after the 2003 US invasion. European Union countries have maintained that Moscow’s efforts won’t keep President Bashar al-Assad in power.

The fate of al-Assad, remains a sticking point. By the summer of 2012, the fighting had spread to Syria’s largest city, Aleppo.
This was the second cruise missile attack from the Caspian, after the pioneering strike of October 7 in which Russian Federation brought the Caspian region into the Syria conflict, at the same time demonstrating its military dominance over the sea.
