Palestinians are angry at increasing violence by Israeli settlers at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound and the latter’s attacks on Palestinian properties, saying that the Tel Aviv regime seeks to change the status quo of the compound.
Fourteen Israelis were killed in stabbing and running over attacks carried out by Palestinians.
Palestinian attacks, mainly stabbings, have killed 14 Israelis, and at least 83 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire, including 53 Israel says were involved in assaults.
Shortly after, over 1,000 Israeli soldiers re-rolled into the camp, and sealed it off from all corners, sparking violent clashes, and Laith Manasra was shot-dead.
The Paris attacks happened just hours after a Palestinian terrorist murdered Rabbi Ya’akov Litman and his 18-year-old son, Netanel, in a shooting attack on their vehicle.
Israel closed entrances to Hebron and arrested 20 suspects in the area while searching for the shooter over the weekend.
According to the Israeli military, hundreds of Palestinians in Qalandiya threw rocks and firebombs at security forces, while a few opened fire.
The current round of bloodshed was triggered by unrest at a major Jerusalem shrine revered by both Muslims and Jews, and quickly spread to Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza border.
Israel’s Supreme court approved the demolitions, all in the West Bank, on Thursday, The NY Times reported.
The report claimed Israel will benefit from the Paris attacks, which serve the “goals” of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who “hides in his soul enough evil to burn the world”.
On Sunday, a Palestinian man suspected of carrying out a shooting against Israelis in the West Bank, was handed over to the Israeli army by his father and brother, who hoped their action would prevent the demolition of their family home.
Israel recently revived the tactic of house demolitions, after a break of a decade, because of questions about its effectiveness as a deterrent and amid human rights concerns.
“Even if they demolish it, we don’t care”.
