AccuWeather reports a storm is poised to bring the first snowfall of the season to parts of the Midwest, including Chicago and Milwaukee, this weekend. The heaviest snowfall will be late Saturday afternoon and early evening. Lows in south Alabama will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s north of Interstate 10, with mid-30s to lower 40s expected near the coast. More rain – or show – showers are likely tonight with a low around 33. The snow may have a little trouble accumulating early on in the storm, since the air and ground temperatures will be a little too warm.

Central Texas will experience the coldest nights of the year since March, the weather service said.

Thanksgiving Day should be mostly sunny with a high of 56 and a low of 41.

However, Saturday and Sunday temperatures are not expect to be any higher than the 50s.

The forecast calls for lows above freezing on Monday. The potential exists for hard driving conditions and reduced visibility. Those chances will rise to 70 percent Saturday night, when the overnight low temperature is expected to drop to about 75 degrees.
