The Force Awakens is finished, JJ Abrams is “terrified” to release it

His Lucas was dead on and hilarious – something we hopefully see more of in the future as well as his weird Danny DeVito impression. ‘On this movie, we knew, ok, it’s ‘Star Wars, ‘ there are going to be a lot of ships flying, there will a lot of things we couldn’t possibly ever do, of course, physically.

“There was literally one scene where Alice Eve was so obliterated by a lens flare and I was showing the scene to my wife Katie, who just said, ‘Okay, you know what?”

“The issue was ultimately, they looked at the stories and they said, ‘We want to make something for the fans, ‘” he said. The catch, he told Vanity Fair, is that nobody wants to see experimental films these days.

The show was prompted by the impending release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, the latest installment in the series.

Fans are sitting on the edge of their seats waiting for the new Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, due for release on December 17 and directed by JJ Abrams. “So I said, ‘All I wanna do is tell the story of what happened…it started here and went there”.

The 71-year-old went on to describe the long-running franchise as a family based soap-opera that revolves around family problems (i.e. Luke vs Anakin Skywalker) rather than focussing on spaceships. Abrams has previously apologized for his overuse of the effect; back in 2013, he said, “admitting you’re an addict is the first step towards recovery”. “‘ You just say ‘Nope, gone, history, I’m moving forward'”.

According to Wired, the team worked on a list of the things they wanted the new Star Wars films to express, including a sense of beginning, urgency, but mixed with humor.
