49ers can’t slow Rawls in 29-13 loss to Seahawks
The cards are stacked against the San Francisco 49ers in today’s game against the Seattle Seahawks on Fox Sports live TV and Fox Sports Go live streaming online.

But until the Seahawks remember how to play a consistent 60 minutes with the explosiveness they have managed in sporadic bursts this season, the balanced nature of the National Football League is going to keep them in contention.
San Francisco’s defense had no answers for Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls.
“Given the opportunity, you are either going to rise to the opportunity or you can go back”, Rawls said.
“I never run out of bounds, ” Rawls said. Rawls has two touchdowns this season.
The Seahawks got back to.
With Atlanta’s loss late at home to Matt Hasselbeck and the Indianapolis Colts, the Seahawks somehow – through all its blown leads late and problems on its offensive line – is just one game behind the Falcons for the sixth and final playoff spot in the NFC playoffs.
Coach Pete Carroll said Friday that he thought Lynch would be available, just as he was against Arizona after being listed as questionable when he developed the strain in practice the previous Thursday.
On the first defensive series, starting defensive lineman Glenn Dorsey collapsed when his knee buckled.
Seattle (4-5) is close to must-win territory if they want a shot at winning the division.
“I wasn’t shocked, but I was disappointed, very disappointed in the way we played the run today”, 49ers coach Jim Tomsula said.
Embarrassing. And so similar to so many other games this season. In those games, he’s rushed for 104, 169 and 209 yards.
The 49ers should have known of Rawls.
Wide receiver Paul Richardson will not play against San Francisco.
Rawls’ 255 total yards were 78 more than Lynch’s career best for total yards in a game. Blaine Gabbert completed 22-of-34 passes for 264 yards with one touchdown to Vance McDonald in his second start of his 49ers career. Sunday is his third missed game this season.
Poor tackling was at the root of the 49ers defensive woes as well as the slow start.
“I’ve got to turn on the film and learn from it and try to help my team next week”, said Armstead. He was 6 of 7 for 78 yards on the scoring drive just before halftime, but the 49ers had to settle for field goals twice in the third quarter after getting inside the Seattle 10.
While the SF 49ers are struggling on the track with 3-6 losing streak, the Seattle Seahawks are no exception as their are also coping an uphill battle.
Drafted to be a returner, Lockett’s becoming a bigger factor as a receiver. He had four receptions for 48 yards and two touchdowns, of 24 and 11 yards. The Seahawks led 13-0 after the first quarter, and that lead climbed to 20-0 when they scored their third touchdown on as many possessions. McDonald had a 36-yard catch and Celek had a 33-yard reception as the Seahawks continue to give up big plays down the seam to tight ends.
Lynch missed 2½ games earlier this season with a hamstring injury suffered in the second quarter of Seattle’s Week 3 victory over Chicago. He led all players at his position in the preseason with 15 tackles.
Back in 2001, Seattle Seahawks had an aging but still effective RB get hurt, giving a promising young player a chance to show that he’s the real deal. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article.
