ENGLAND striker Harry Kane was once again amongst the goals as Tottenham Hotspur produced a derby masterclass against a strangely subdued West Ham United outfit at White Hart Lane.

Dele Alli will miss Tottenham’s next Premier League game against London rivals Chelsea after picking up a yellow card in the clash against West Ham.

He was rushed to an east London hospital after the incident near the junction of White Hart Lane and Tottenham High Road.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane hailed victory over West Ham as their “best performance of the season”. As for West Ham, they stay sixth.

Only the crossbar kept the Hammers from going further behind three minutes later when a delightful move involving a host of players ended with Alli heading onto the woodwork after Son Heung-min had seen his shot blocked.

‘It was one of the best performances of the season, and there were a lot of positive things to take from the game.

“After the game we played tonight I think we have enough quality (to finish in the top four)”, Pochettino said. I will be punching myself not to have got a hat-trick, but I am delighted to get the win.

Walker’s fourth – scored off the outside of his right boot after an unmarked run into West Ham’s box – seemed overdue, and only served to pound the final nail into West Ham’s coffin.

West Ham’s first attempt of a poor second half in which tempers flared did not come until the final 20 minutes when Reid headed straight at Hugo Lloris.

Allardyce was replaced by Slaven Bilic at West Ham in the summer, and the Hammers got off to an incredible start to the season, recording away wins at Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City. They were quicker than us, physically stronger than us.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are now up to fifth in the table and remain unbeaten since matchday two, having lost to Manchester United at Old Trafford in the first game of the season through a Kyle Walker own goal. Walker was booked after a needless face-off with Sakho, but the right-back made amends in the 83rd minute by using the outside of his right foot to curl Son’s lay-off around Adrian’s forlorn dive and into the net.
