Christie Fires Back At De Blasio Over Syrian Refugee Crisis
During a news conference criticizing Christie last week, the mayor held up a photo of a dead Syrian boy.

Chris Christie said the current refugee issue in America is the fault of President Obama for not acting on his “red line” in Syria and allowing Russian Federation to get a role in the air campaign there.
Christie also said he believes the Republican presidential race, led now by Donald Trump and Ben Carson, will shift as a result of the attacks – and touted his experience as a USA attorney who prosecuted two terrorism cases.
While Christie signed a law in New Jersey to ban people on the terrorist watch list from purchasing guns, he said Sunday that he did not support similar federal legislation, saying the matter should be decided state by state.
He also said Washington should never have cut back on the National Security Agency’s collection of phone data in the wake of privacy concerns revealed by former government contractor Edward Snowden. He stated the choice ought to be left to states to make a decision for themselves.
“We need to do all those things first and foremost to protect the homeland”, he said.
Asked on CNN’s State of the Union Sunday whether those refugees should be ousted, Christie didn’t answer the question.
“What we’re gonna do”, Christie said. “This is something that the president has created…This not something we should have to be addressing inside the United States”.
Christie took a shot at NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio, who had blamed Christie over his refusal to support permitting even Syrian refugees who’re women and kids in to the USA.

Mr. Christie said that, instead of bringing the refugees to American shores, the USA should foster safe zones near their homes in Syria, which has been torn apart by civil war and the march of the Islamic State, the militant group that claimed responsibility for the attacks in Paris.
