Police were called at around 3pm to the incident around the junction of White Hart Lane and Tottenham High Road.

In 2012 a few West Ham fans chanted about Adolf Hitler at White Hart Lane and made hissing “gas chamber” noises, a reference to Tottenham’s strong Jewish links.

He was taken to an east London hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and both West Ham and Tottenham are working with officers to identify those responsible.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that it is now investigating.

Police on horseback were seen patrolling outside the ground prior to the match.

Kane scored twice as Spurs ran riot against a nervous Hammers side, despite West Ham being hugely successful on the road this season.

Although Tottenham is still fifth in the league table, they’re continuing their climb and are just two points away from fourth-placed Arsenal. There were also unconfirmed reports of a group of West Ham supporters storming a Spurs bar at a few point during the match.

However, they were thrashed by Spurs who have been unbeaten since the second game of the campaign, with goals from Toby Alderweireld, Kyle Walker, and a Harry Kane brace helping Mauricio Pochettino’s men to a comfortable victory.

Tottenham next plays against Chelsea in the Premier League without midfielder Dele Alli after he was cautioned, a touch harshly, for coming to Kane’s rescue during a childish dispute with West Ham skipper Mark Noble.
