“It’s been valuable for us”, said coach Mike Hesson, rating the traits of the ball as “nothing different that we’ve seen the previous time we used it”.

Teams have long batted under lights in one-day cricket, however the timing of when innings begin has typically meant batsmen face the new ball in natural light.
Taylor supports a Thursday-to-Sunday model for Test matches and feels it is the best way to keep young fans interested.
Sutherland is keen on this as a day-night model that would increase the amount of overs played in a single day from 90 to 100.
Lyon described himself as a traditionalist who did not like to mess with Test cricket but said next week’s historic match was exciting, especially with days one and two sold out.
New Zealand are now trailing 1-0 in the series and they have to win the third Test of the three-match series in Adelaide, starting from November 27 in order to level the series. After all, day-night Test cricket would not suit all countries or all conditions. Where is cricket going?
“I think that is a result wicket out there, without a doubt”.
Cricket: Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson says much maligned batsman Shaun Marsh is absolutely the right choice to replace the injured Usman Khawaja in the Australian lineup.
Hesson said Boult is “going to have to bowl flat out, two days out from the test. If he’s able to get through that then he’ll be considered for the test”. “There’s wasn’t a huge amount of grass on that [WACA pitch] so I imagine it will be bit more in Adelaide [than Perth]”, he said.
“The stadium is designed as a multi-purpose facility and the technology that sits under the turf is the best in the world”, Chandler said.
As an example, you would not rush to play Tests under lights in England because there is no need.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed it has been approached about a second day-night test in Australia next summer, most likely in Adelaide, but with Brisbane putting its up too.
“But you have to have an open mind as a player and just accept there will be challenges”.
CA has realised that the Test product is struggling to compete with the value for money that its own Big Bash league tournament provides.
Nathan Lyon has fuelled speculation Australia will field two spinners at the Adelaide Test, saying he expects the pink ball to give him and his fellow tweakers an advantage.
But Boult, who suffered a stress-related injury to his back earlier this year and was underdone when the squad arrived in Australia, did not bowl an over.

“So a few sort of Test championship where every Test is for points is something that’s important for the future development and attractiveness of Test cricket”.
