‘Zootopia’ Trailer: Sloths at the DMV Drive Ginnifer Goodwin insane

With time being of the essence, Officer Judy Hopps has no choice but to turn to the Department of Mammal Vehicles (DMV) which is – of course – operated by sloths. The two are looking to track someone down based on a license plate. This is where the Sloths come in and make things charming.

Rookie officer Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) is the first ever bunny on Zootopia’s police force and is predictably a bundle of energy ready to prove herself to her peers. With the Christmas trailer for The Secret Life of Pets up earlier today this new trailer for Disney’s forthcoming Zootropolis (known in the States as the far less prosaic “Zootopia”) continues a regular theme for our big animation studios.

The Walt Disney Company was built on the backs of talking animals, so the existence of a movie like Zootopia was inevitable. Giacchino’s credits feature a few of the most popular and acclaimed film projects in recent history, including Disney•Pixar’s “Inside Out”, “The Incredibles” and “Ratatouille”, as well as “Jurassic World”, “MissionImpossible: Ghost Protocol” and “The Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”.

Global superstar Shakira is lending her Grammy®-winning voice to Gazelle, the biggest pop star in Zootopia.

In addition to Bateman and Goodwin, Zootopia features the vocal talents of Idris Elba, Alan Tudyk, J.K. Simmons, Jenny Slate, Bonnie Hunt, and Octavia Spencer. With Tangled’s Byron Howard and Wreck-It Ralph’s Rich Moore sharing main directorial duties, Zootropolis will be out in the United Kingdom on March 25, 2016.
