More of The Force Awakens Revealed in New Star Wars Commercial

Nothing groundbreaking or actually useful then, but we’ve enjoyed hunting down the little Star Wars treats nonetheless. Navigating turns your location (the blue dot) into a TIE-Fighter or X-Wing.

Other participating apps and services include Android Wear, Chrome (via an extension), Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Search, Google Translate, Waze, Chromecast and YouTube, across a wide range of mobile and desktop platforms. Coming soon will be a virtual reality version of the Millennium Falcon within Google Cardboard and there are apparently several easter eggs in various Google products. Tying in with the imminent release of The Force Awakens, Google are letting users choose which side of the force they’d like to be on, and then customising their accounts appropriately.

The Force Awakens less than a month away, excitement levels are sky-high, but we’re still none the wiser about what role Luke Skywalker will play in it all.

It’s perfectly possible to change your allegiance if after playing along with the good guys you want to take Darth Vader’s advice and feel the power of the dark side. Forget it. You’re doomed to watch even the worst Star Wars dreck and listen to your offspring talk about how great Anakin is while you bang your head against the wall.
