QB Aaron Rodgers disappointed with National Football League fan’s anti-Muslim slur during Lions

The Lions could have made it easier on themselves if not for their own mistakes. They had the 26th ranked defense coming into the game.

Heading into the game, the Lions were 1-7 overall and had just fired their team president and general manager. There’s definitely not the balance you’d like, run to pass. Definitely some big play opportunities that were missed early in the game.

Luckily for the Lions, the Packers may have managed to block the field goal themselves. He hasn’t caught more than two passes in a game since Week 4 and was shut out on both of his targets, which likely will be graded as drops by the coaches. “And that’s the way football is, an imperfect game, but you’ve got to make the plays to win”. Sunday, they deactivated Eddie Lacy, which is proof that Lacy has been battling through injury issues. The Packers leading rusher was James Starks rushing for 42 yards on 15 attempts. “Rather than ignore the hatred, Rodgers faced it head on and pointed out why it’s not okay”. Yet the Packers quarterback says he isn’t playing hurt.

After the game, Rodgers was asked about the pregame ceremony and its importance, and the quarterback went out of his way to criticize the fan who yelled the hateful remark.

As usual, Aaron Rodgers and company responded.

McCarthy said Rodgers has been hit too much the last few weeks.

“I bet nobody gave us a chance, but that’s the way we like it”, Stafford said. Rodgers’ face suddenly turned to a look of disgust when he overheard a fan who didn’t take this tribute seriously. “I like the way our staff works, and I like the way they work with our players”.

“We’ve set a standard around here”, left guard Josh Sitton said.

The Packers finally found some open receivers in the fourth quarter. And we’ve got to make more plays. Aaron Rodgers connected with Justin Perillo on a 11 yard touchdown pass to cut the lead to 18-16.
