Bengals pick Palmer twice, lead Cardinals at halftime
He’s had Dalton’s number since the day the two players first faced off, picking off a Dalton pass in each of the past four matchups between these two teams.

Bengals at Cardinals (8:30 pm, NBC) – Cincinnati was undefeated for a long time, but having had the crown knocked off their head they’re not going to pick it up again that quickly.
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said there are “a lot of positive memories” of Palmer.
The biggest problem is the Bengals looked tentative to take shots deep down the field against the Texans – something they’ve excelled at so far this season.
“I was just thankful to get that first touchdown”, he said.
Well that sucked. I expected a reality check to happen soon but not against the Texans in a primetime game and-now that I say that out loud it kind of makes more sense. I was saying, “get set, get set, ‘ because they were on the ball quick”.
But Cardinals players said that kneel down wasn’t the only time they heard Peko calling out the Cardinals’ snap count. Floyd’s replacement, rookie J.J. Nelson, had three catches all year but torched the Bengals for 142 yards on four receptions, including a 64-yard touchdown. A sack and lost fumble by Dalton, however, led to a 24-yard field goal by Catanzaro. It would have been a worthy game for early February, too. The NFL’s fourth-leading passer, Carson Palmer (2,749 yards, 23 TDs), and second-leading rusher, Chris Johnson (734 yards, 3 TDs), will play an integral role in the outcome of this game. He finished with 317 yards and four touchdowns through the air in a 34-31 victory that left both Super Bowl hopefuls at 8-2. Yates would finish with 69 yards and a TD on 5-of-11 passing.
The Bengals were flagged 10 times overall for 108 yards.
“We’ve got to clean it up”, Lewis said. “It’s just hurting us and it’s hard”.
The Cincinnati Bengals overcame a penalty-plagued first half to seize a 14-7 halftime lead at Arizona.
The Bengals (8-1) have intercepted former quarterback Carson Palmer twice and sacked him once, but they’ve committed seven penalties for 73 yards.
Nelson later in the third quarter, used his 4.28 speed to zoom past the Bengals defense for a 36 yard gain to the CIN 17 yard line.
“This is not just another game”, Palmer said. The Cardinals linebackers couldn’t come near him in coverage and a career-high eight catches for 128 yards reflected the mismatch.
“Yeah, you can think of it that way, or you’re trying to win the game”, Dalton said. “For us to fight back and be in it in the end, and then we as a defense let them drive on us to score, we’ve got to do a better job”. We’ve got to keep that mentality.
At first, it appeared that Cardinals right guard Ted Larsen committed a false start penalty. Jones didn’t practice all week due to a foot injury after coming out of Monday’s loss to Houston for a few plays with a shoulder injury….

While Dalton started the second half with six straight incompletions, Palmer moved Arizona to three third-quarter touchdowns on three possessions.
