Golden State Warriors beat Denver Nuggets 118-105
The defending National Basketball Association champions, two wins from breaking the record for most wins to start a season, face the Nuggets on Sunday. This is noteworthy for a couple of reasons.

The Nuggets couldn’t stop the Golden State steamroller, and the Warriors did what they do best in a 118-105 win on Sunday night at the Pepsi Center: Hit 3-point shots. This was the way things went for the Warriors in the third: Festus Ezeli missed a wide-open dunk and it wound up in the hands of Curry, who drained a 3-pointer. As was the case for most of the last season, the bench carried the load for the entirety of the fourth quarter as Curry checked out of the game after playing just 28 minutes. The result is a team and a style of play that is revolutionizing the game.
Though the Warriors are after another championship title run, the feat they achieved is just a bonus. It now seems all but certain that the Warriors will break the record when they play host to the struggling Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night at Oracle Arena. “It would be something nice to get along the way”. Davis poured in a game-high 43 points, but Korver and the Hawks won 121-115. CJ McCollum scored 19 points and recorded five assists, while Mason Plumlee finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Trail Blazers who beat the Lakers for the six consecutive time. “But to come here and get this win with what it all meant, was a huge accomplishment for us”. His last block came with 22 seconds left, when he tapped Mirza Teletovic’s three-point attempt from the right corner offline. Less than one-fifth of the way through the season, the Dubs already have a three game lead on the rest of the league in the loss column. Emmanuel Mudiay scored 26 points while Garry Harris added 20 points to help the Nuggets.
Denver’s mini-run in the second quarter woke the sleeping giant in the Warriors as they rattled off eight straight points to retake the lead 58-51 and went into the locker room up 64-58 at the half.
Only the 1949 Washington Capitols and the 1994 Houston Rockets have previously achieved the feat. Thomas B. Shea, USA TODAY Sports November 1, 2015: Lakers star Kobe Bryant (24) tumbles over Mavericks defender Chandler Parsons (25) much like Los Angeles has tumbled in the standings in recent years.

Thompson also matched Curry’s seven assists, making them two of seven Warriors to log multiple helpers on Sunday. Belying their perceived nature as a “jump-shooting team”, Golden State has been an above-average offensive rebounding team this season. Harrison Barnes added 20 points, including those crucial three-pointers that separated the Warriors against their opponents.
