Sheamus Cashes In on Roman Reigns, Wins WWE Championship at Survivor Series

Before Reigns could even celebrate his accomplishment, Sheamus appeared, knocking him silly with a Brogue Kick and cashing in on his Money in the Bank calling card, pinning the newly-crowned champ to leave the pay-per-view event with the gold in tow.

WWE’s COO entered the ring, Congratulate the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion and show unexpected respect to Roman reign as lifting his Hand but Roman reign Knows His Intention and Speared Triple H with full force.

Then it was Seth Rollins stealing the championship just as he was to win it. On Sunday, it was Sheamus.

The worldwide Business Times first reported the threat Saturday. In all fairness, a Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose match should be saved for another date, as there is a lot of history to build on, and a Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens match will be easier to book and structure. The Phenom teamed up with his brother Demon Kane to defeat the Wyatt Family members Bray Wyatt and Luker Harper in a tag team bout. The Wyatt family enjoyed a few success but a double chokeslam turned the contest and ‘Taker finished the match with a trademark Tombstone Piledriver of Harper. Left alone with Ryback, Kalisto and Jey Uso, Sheamus didn’t stand a chance, as he was pinned after getting hit with Shell Shock. Roman Reigns interrupted and both looked forward to tonight’s main event.

Reigns has been within inches of securing the WWE Championship multiple times, but plans always seem to shift at the last second.

Roman Reigns booked his place in the final by outlasting Del Rio in a physical match-up.

Charlotte made Paige pay however when she retained her title after locking the Total Diva in her patent submission maneuver, The Figure-Eight LegLock. Del Rio thought he had the match won when he avoided a Superman Punch and landed a Backstabber but Reigns kicked out of a long two-count. After King Barrett and Big E were eliminated, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston walked backstage with their New Day teammate.

The WWE Survivor Series has been one of the top names for the company in terms of PPV, and is a part of the “big 4” that are held annually. The babyfaces were totally dominant in this one, as only Neville got eliminated. Post-match, The Brothers took plenty of time to soak up the adulation of the crowd and celebrated in only the way they do.
