Reports suggest LSU boosters ready to buy out contract of Les Miles
Overall, Miles has a 60-27 record in SEC play. He associated the reports with others that proved inaccurate.

Five to seven years ago, I would have said 100 percent. Richt is just 5-10 against bitter rival Florida, and has been embarrassed three straight times by Alabama. For the second straight season and only the fourth time in Miles’s tenure, the team will not win 10 games.
According to NOLA.com, Fisher would be at or near the top of LSU’s wish list. What’s happening to Miles, whose current recruiting class is ranked No. 1 in the nation, borders on irrational.
“The information I have is ‘Do your job as you would do it.’ If someone is asking me if I’m coaching for my job, I feel like I’ve been doing that for 11 years”. It’s not what the LSU administration sees.
Franks, from Wakulla High in Crawfordsville, Fla., said he had been mulling his future for about a month.
Nevertheless, while Miles might have saved the program by dismissing Perrilloux, no savior arrived at quarterback. It’s not clear there is a system that would set up a quarterback to succeed.
Incoming talent has not been the trouble. They have built state-of-the-art dorms, which are a major hit with recruits. The one success, Zach Mettenberger, came already developed.
There’s no two ways about it – LSU has every reason to covet Jimbo Fisher.
Les Miles could soon be out at LSU.
Compare this to another Big Ten-reared power enthusiast Bret Bielema.
Flynn was backed up by Ryan Perrilloux, a Louisiana high school phenom who played considerable time as a redshirt freshman in 2007 when Flynn was out with a high ankle sprain. There’s no disputing LSU has looked sloppy and pitiful in recent weeks.
LSU boosters are so unhappy with Les Miles they are willing to buy out the remaining roughly $15 million on his contract to get rid of the title-winning coach.
Schad later said on ESPN that he was told “money is not an issue”.
Those officials are athletic director Joe Alleva and LSU President F. King Alexander; they have not commented publicly on Miles’ status.
Then there’s this: LSU has the most active players in the National Football League right now – even more than Alabama – yet it’s not winning at the Crimson Tide’s rate. Whoever takes over will have a team loaded with talent, so there should be no rebuilding process.

The Les Miles era appears to be in its last breaths. From more pay for his assistants, to state-of-the-art GPS systems, to a full-time nutritionist to a brand-new indoor practice facility, pretty much all of Fisher’s wishes have been granted.
