Roger Federer has defeated Andy Murray in the semi-final match of the Wimbledon 2015 to book a place in the final.

Federer has not won a grand slam since beating Murray at Wimbledon three years ago but the number two seed believes wins such as Friday’s vindicate his decision to keep playing. In the pair’s first match-up on Centre Court since the 2012 Olympic final, Federer offered his opponent just one break point as he sealed an emphatic win to move one step away from a record eighth Wimbledon title. Murray fell behind love-40, but saved a total of five set points as the game went to deuce seven times and included furious corner-to-corner rallies. “Me as well”. “That was the turning point”, Djokovic said after booking his 17th Grand Slam final berth and fourth at Wimbledon.
“He served fantastic. Apart from the first game where I had the chance there, I didn’t really have any opportunities”.
Novak Djokovic is in another Wimbledon final and his German coach, Boris Becker, ex- Wimbledon champion is going through the rollercoaster emotions of a looming final, much to the delight of the Serb.
Murray may be the local hero in SW19, but Federer, who has won here seven times, is so widely adored around the world that nearly every court he plays on offers home advantage.
“I kept the pressure up”, Federer said.
“But at times I played some very good tennis”.
“I’ve been serving very well for the entire tournament”, said Federer, who has been broken only once, by Gilles Simon in the quarterfinals, ending a streak of 116 service holds in a row going back to the warm-up tournament in Halle, Germany. “I don’t know if anyone has played as well as Roger at his age”.
“I served very well”. But I didn’t actually play a bad match. “I have a great responsibility to play well here, because if you look at the names of the legends who won Wimbledon it is a great honor and privilege to be out there”.
It wasn’t long before Federer got ahead as he broke Murray’s serve in the twelfth game yet again.
“That’s something I don’t remember really having, except maybe on one of the wins I’ve had here. It will be fine for the next match”, he said. As the vanquished Murray said of the final after the game, according to the Guardian.
Djokovic played down concerns about a left shoulder injury that twice needed treatment and insisted he would be ready for the final.
A hard year since being crowned champion at the All England Club ended in a shock straight-sets loss to the talented Dimitrov. One more win would make Federer the first man with eight titles here. The exchanges continued in the final set but the 17-time grand slam champion could not be hauled back. I had my chances.
“I’m definitely living the dream, here at Wimbledon on the most renowned tennis court in the world”.
“I became a father as well and entered a new dimension of joy and happiness and love”.

The Centre Court crowd appeared unusually split in loyalties given a Brit was on his show, such is Federer’s unrivalled status at SW19, and they were treated to some glorious tennis in the opening stages.
