Thunder win, but Durant goes down
On Wednesday, the Thunder announced that Durant underwent an MRI, which confirmed he has a strained left hamstring. With Durant’s contract is up after the season, Tuesday’s game was Wizards’ fans final opportunity to woo the Thunder star into returning to his hometown team.

Durant will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days at which time a further update will be provided, the team said in a statement.
This season, Durant is averaging 28.1 points (fourth in NBA), 7.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.25 blocks and 34.7 minutes in eight games (all starts).
Even more ironic? Durant walked off the court in a game against the Washington Wizards.
Durant played in only 27 games last season because of three surgeries to fix a Jones fracture in his right foot. You’ve got a couple of guys who are known as defenders on the team, and then everybody else is looking to score.
None of his starters had more than five rebounds Tuesday, when shooting guard Bradley Beal sat out with a sore left shoulder and backup forward Nene was sidelined by a bad back. Oubre came into the game without a three point field goal on four attempts, but quickly knocked down his first two threes. Russell Westbrook was impressive as always, finishing with a triple-double of 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.
“Play defence”, he said when asked what the team must fix. “We’ve got to win the rebound battle, that’s number one”, he said before faintly recalling general big man stats in which Oklahoma ranked highly amongst the league.
They watched the Oklahoma City Thunder toy with them as they pleased en route to 125 points, myriad missed defensive assignments compounded by a lack of desire.
Anthony Morrow didn’t get a single second of significant time tonight, and a lot of fans are furious. I guarantee it. If you give me 27 minutes on Saturday, I’ll get you a rebound.
LeBron James scored 31 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Utah Jazz 118-114 to win their sixth successive game.

At 5-3, the Thunder are starting to get back into the swing of things under new head coach Billy Donovan.
