Ezekiel Elliott Is Leaving Ohio State For The NFL Draft

Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott will face no discipline for questioning the Buckeyes’ play calls following the 17-14 loss to MI State last Saturday. But I’ll write it off to a young man who was frustrated and emotional after a heartbreaking loss.

Throughout the season, Elliott has pleaded with coach Urban Meyer for more carries. He’s great and he apologized”, said Meyer, per Thamel, adding, “He’s been a good student, loyal.

OSU running back Ezekiel Elliott’s mouth was spared the same treatment after his controversial comments Saturday. “We squashed it as a team. And we’re going to do our best to get ready to play this week”. “I was lobbying to Coach Meyer all game”. I think I do deserve more than [12] carries. “He said what was on his heart”. I bet he’ll learn from this, apologize and be a better teammate because of it. And as long as he shows that moving forward, it’ll just be a small bump in the road that won’t slow him down.

Ohio State has lost just thrice to MI since 2000 and enters the showdown as a slight favorite, according to Vegas Insider.

The last time MI State beat Ohio State was the 2013 Big Ten championship game and that broke a 24-game winning streak by the Buckeyes and kept them out of the BCS title game. That was no surprise, but it was startling that he made that proclamation in that setting. When he was asked about his role in the game, he said that he felt he should have had more touches, and seemed to blame the loss on the coaching staff. Elliott stated, “I don’t know what they were seeing”. He likely won’t be drafted as high as Todd Gurley who went No. 10 to the St. Louis Rams, but he should be a first round pick and there’s a chance he could go as high as the No. 15 spot that Melvin Gordon was taken past year.

Geiger remembered what happened the last time MI State won a huge game on the final play of regulation.

“After I hit it I knew it was going through”.

“Finally I just want Buckeye Nation to know I am sorry for all the controversy and unrest I caused in the past couple days”, he wrote. You guys saw that on that drive. In short, they all said no and pointed to things like him crying after the game and the fact that he hands the ball to the official after he scores. Zeke’s got, like I said, a three-year bank.

The game-winning catch came with just under 10 minutes left when quarterback-turned receiver Garrett Anderson took a pitch from Tim Boyle and found Thomas for the touchdown.

“When they (the Buckeyes) became one dimensional, the game became a lot easier”, said Calhoun.

“We do not condone that”, Meyer said during his weekly news conference Monday. “We have respect for them, but we don’t like them”.

“(The) coaching staff didn’t put us in position to win. And that was before it was known Cook, widely-considered the best QB in the Big Ten, and possibly a first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, could not play.
