According to Buddy TV, Australian conservationist Bindi Irwin and professional dance partner Derek Hough nearly got the Mirrorball trophy up their sleeves. Who freestyled their way closer to the win? Meghan Trainor kicks off Part 1 of finale night – minus a mega makeout session! I thought all four pairs gave it all they had and reflected the personalities of each celeb, and as a result, all received flawless scores of 30. Moral of the story? One, a “re-do” of a dance they’ve previously done, but to a new song. It’s sexy and smoky, and though the first half isn’t 100 percent there for me, they finish strong. “I said if she’s not in the finals there’s something wrong”. Last week, they scored a flawless score for their trio with Mark Ballas that saw Irwin dance inside of a box and twirl a rope around her body. I am just crying too hard to even say anything other than WOW. Spoiler alert: He nails it. Irwin may very well snag a win on Tuesday night.
Adam Taylor/ABC The contestants gather on stage on “Dancing with the Stars”.
As dancers know, work ethic is crucial and Irwin clearly gets what it takes to do well.
For the second routine, the stars and their pro partners performed freestyles. She nearly has to be beyond spectacular to surprise us. Bruno said it was framed beautifully but said it needed more hip action. Julianne Hough helped them out.
Julianne: His best performance of the season.
Carrie Ann: She tearfully tells her how awesome she is.
Monday’s show unfolded in two rounds.
“Maks later told me that he had argued with the judges because he had been told we were going to be eliminated, that there was a few secret memo going around that said who would be ousted each week”, Solo wrote on her autobiography.
Alek and Lindsay chose to simulate an Army obstacle course as the backdrop for their freestyle, complete with a steep climbing wall. But the duo successfully overcame that challenge.
Bruno called Lindsay’s choreography outstanding, and each judge brought out their big paddles to salute Alek’s performance. “I just hope that as far as Bindi is concerned, people will vote for her if they like her. She’s done very well and has been so consistent that I think one of two things can happen”. “That was brilliant. That was a dancer’s freestyle”, Carrie Ann Inaba said. And we can not wait!
“Dancing With the Stars” season 21 will air its finale episode on Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. “You have changed my life”.
However, judges praised his marked improvements and awarded him 27 points, earning a total score of 57 out of 60 points for the night.
The couple with the lowest combined scores and therefore leaving right now is….Carlos and Witney! At the end of the program, host Tom Bergeron announced that the couple would join Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess as the two who were in danger of elimination. His wife, Alexa PenaVega, also competed this season. The tribute to Bindi’s late father Steve Irwin was dynamic and gentle at the same time, life affirming and hopeful. My money is on Bindi and Derek after nearly a full season of ideal routines, but there could always be a surprise.

The judges, notoriously and historically nitpicky of a front-runner like her, have harped on her shoulders and posture and hips (not enough swivel, said an overly critical Julianne Hough recently). Rehearsals were tough because Derek’s battling a bad cold with a scary cough, but they make it through. The finale will be filled with performances from Alexander Jean, Andy Grammer, Chaka Khan, Elle King and Nick Carter.
