The Welshman, who joined the Spanish giants from Tottenham Hotspur for £85m in 2013, has often been linked with a return to England, with Manchester United being the front-runners to acquire his services.
Louis van Gaal’s side are expected to make a £90m ($136.6m) bid for the Real star next summer, according to the Independent. Real eventually got the deal over the line, but United have since been knocked back with a massive £100million offer.
I feel like that’s my position.
“I try to play as much golf as possible”, Bale said. But I am enjoying my time here. “I’d say the Premier League is stronger all the way down, but the top teams in Spain are probably better”.
“Now I ” m here, I want to win trophies and to win titles, and just do the best I can for my career.
“Every time I come home, I go back with bags of the stuff”.
The Welsh winger now plays off a very respectable handicap of six, meaning he’s somewhere in between Happy Gilmore and Rory McIlroy. Maybe past year I didn’t play so well in the second half of the season.
He admitted that he failed to live up to his potential for large parts of last season, but said that he was nearly grateful for the opportunity to learn from his mistakes and improve as a player, saying: “I feel like I’ve grown up”. I can drift into areas, find the space and, when I get the ball, I can attack.
