Feeling Minnesota: Aaron Rodgers and the Pack Get Back on Track
That’s exactly what Green Bay’s defensive line did to Adrian Peterson who-besides his six-yard touchdown run in the third quarter-was pretty much a non-factor on offense for Minnesota. They were better in the trenches on both sides of the ball. “Everybody wants us to point fingers at each other, but we know the team that we have, we know the guys in this locker room and our coaching staff. We all believe in each other”.

Right after the ugliest of those three defeats, an 18-16 decision at home against Detroit, Rodgers and the Packers roared back with one of his vintage performances against the Vikings to the delight of the enemy fans chanting, “Go, Pack, Go!” throughout the evening.
Minnesota and Green Bay are now tied in the NFC North at 7-3 and even if the Vikings can’t catch the Packers in the division, a wild card spot is definitely still in play.
“Maybe we’ll get you guys off our back for a couple days”, said Rodgers following the game against the Minnesota Vikings, according to Fox Sports. “We responded really well today”. This was an important week for us.
Eddie Lacy looked like his former self, running hard and moving the pile with 100 yards in 22 carries-an impressive 4.5-yard per average carry against one of the NFL’s stingiest run defenses. In the receiving end, James Jones had 109 yards and one touchdown in six catches while Devante Adams added 36 yards in three receptions.
Every week I’ll share four quick thoughts the day after the Green Bay Packers’ game. “We were in the same position as last week to win the game and we didn’t do it. So we just gotta finish”. “Opportunities were kind of slim”.
Tight end Kyle Rudolph gashed the Green Bay defense with six receptions for 106 yards, including a 47-yard touchdown dash after snaring a flawless throw from Bridgewater over defender Micah Hyde. The 30 points scored by Green Bay was the most allowed by the Vikings all season, and if not for several drives stalling in field-goal range in the first half, the Packers may have scored 40. With the incomparable Adrian Peterson at halfback and a strong, fast defense, the vikings looked like the last team the suddenly punchless Packers wanted to play as they tried to cure what ailed them.
Penalties hurt Minnesota, they committed 8 for 110 yards including an unneccessary roughness flag against Cordarelle Patterson.
“We can’t win playing the way we did”, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said.
Take nothing away from this win, but now the Packers have to prove, again, they have what it takes to string together quality games and wins to get back into the title talk that surrounded this team from OTAs through about the first of November.
Peterson, the NFL’s leading rusher who passed the 1,000-yard mark for the seventh time in his nine-year career, averaged 116 yards over the first 15 times he played the Packers with four games of 150-plus yards. When David Bakhtiari held on a TD pass to Richard Rodgers, it looked like Crosby would be called on yet again.

Start: Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers may not have been the most accurate quarterback last week against the Minnesota Vikings, but you can’t put all of the blame on Rodgers. Crosby also made a 52-yarder to provide the final margin late in the game. Montgomery was listed as doubtful….
It’s a quick turn-around for the Packers. Packers C Corey Linsley left the game in the first quarter with an ankle injury and did not return…. Vikings DB Harrison Smith left the game in the first quarter with a knee injury.

The play resulted in Bridgewater having to leave the game but thankfully he was able to return.
