Israeli army demolishes West Bank homes of Palestinian attackers
Hebron, the largest West Bank city, has been a particular flashpoint in the current round of Israeli-Palestinian violence.

These also include minimum jail terms for Palestinian stone-throwers, looser rules of engagement for the army and withholding the bodies of alleged attackers to prevent funerals from becoming political rallies.
Israeli media aired footage from the aftermath of the attack, showing a crashed vehicle by the roadside.
Speaking to students at Ariel University in the West Bank, Bennett, who leads the pro-settler Jewish Home party, says, “Either you will be here or the Islamic State will”.
The Red Crescent denied the allegation.
Abbas said: “Our people ae deeply shocked and angered, but mostly saddened by these events aimed at hitting civil life in the wonderful city of Paris. Instead of educating about peace and tolerance, the Palestinian leadership is brainwashing children with incitement and hate”, Danon said at the time. His wife, three daughters and another son had minor injuries.
In a bid to halt a wave of knife, gun and car-ramming attacks since the start of October, Israeli authorities have moved to expedite the demolitions of suspects’ homes, a controversial measure meant as a deterrent.
The bloodshed has been fueled by a dispute over access to a site in Jerusalem holy to both Muslims and Jews, as well as by the deadlock in Palestinian statehood talks.
Palestinian attacks, mainly stabbings, have killed 14 Israelis, and at least 83 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire, including 51 Israel said were involved in assaults. The rest died in clashes with Israeli security forces in the West Bank. The army said Palestinians opened fire at the Israeli forces and they returned fire at the attackers.
Citing an unnamed senior Israeli official, Channel Two said Israel saw a “clear operational link” between the Paris attacks, Thursday’s Beirut suicide bombings and the October 31 downing of a Russian airliner in the Egyptian Sinai. He said he heard shots and saw Laith drop to the ground. The Palestinian ministry reported that 22 other Palestinians were wounded in clashes in the West Bank. “You can’t understand the Israeli-Palestinian conflict without understanding this kind of hate”.
In Britain, Prime Minister David Cameron announced Monday that seven terror attacks have been foiled in Britain over the past six months.
Blair said his new role allowed him added freedom to hold frank discussions with all sides. The Palestinian government condemned the demolitions, accusing Israel of committing war crimes.
