Francis Coquelin could for out for three months

And Wenger remains convinced Arsenal can find a way to stage one of the great European escape acts.

It’s easy to lose count now in remembering how many transfer windows have passed without Arsene Wenger signing a new player for a position that Arsenal are clearly short of suitable strength in depth.

“It is a hard moment for us yes”, said Wenger.

Meanwhile, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Ramsey are both in contention to start this week against Dynamo Zagreb in Tuesday’s Champions League clash after recovering from injuries. They are now in third on three points with two games to play, six behind Bayern Munich and Olympiakos who are first and second respectively. In that time he managed to concede a free-kick that led to James Morrison’s equaliser, and netted the unfortunate own-goal that gave the Baggies their victory.

“Losing to West Brom is a severe disappointment”.

Arsenal finally have the look of a side capable of winning the Premier League, yet unless the manager acts intelligently and sharply, we could see yet another promising Gunners campaign peter out into nothingness.

Jonas Olsson, recalled to the team, admitted he can not understand the negativity. Someone says there needs to be a balance between results and entertainment but for the players it’s 100 per cent about the results.

The manager has admitted he fears the worst during the matches to come. “He has played in defensive positions so I think he can develop in the future in a position like defensive midfield”. “It’s as simple as that”.
