Jeremy Langford replacing Matt Forte

Langford joined Hall of Fame running backs Walter Payton and Gale Sayers as the only other player in Bears franchise history to finish a game with at least 100 receiving yards, a receiving touchdown and a rushing touchdown, according to ESPN’s SportsCenter.

With Matt Forte out the past two weeks with a knee injury, rookie running back Jeremy Langford has filled in admirably for Forte, in fact Langford has been so good, he has many asking if he should displace Forte as the Bears starting running back.

The West Virginia star had surgery August 23 and a titanium rod was place in his left leg for stability.

White said he doesn’t really feel the rod, although the screws are causing some pain. He also has to be careful not to push himself too hard. “I definitely do want to be out there”, he said.
