Most of the respondents who said they plan to or may shop this weekend will shop on Black Friday (73.5%). But apparently that isn’t enough for some retailers as many are planning massive discounts for Thursday, November 26. A lot of the best deals for toys are after Black Friday but you have to consider the chances of a hot item selling out.
Do your homework. Don’t fall into the trap of bouncing around randomly from bargain to bargain wondering which thing you’re going to buy; decide in advance what you actually want and get a feel for what it costs. This does not benefit you. But others will avoid the holiday crush altogether. Do your best to stick to your list. No doubt that most stores will open incredibly early for Black Friday, and even some will open on Thanksgiving day, but it’s still a good idea to know when a store will open so that you don’t come at the wrong time.
Save receipts and indicate (if the receipt is not pre-printed) exactly what you purchased, and when you purchased the item(s).

For example, Southern department store Belk is offering at least 80 identical deals to last year’s savings, while Macy’s is plugging a Samsonite carry-on bag for $99.99-which is 55 cents more than what it offered the luggage for on Veteran’s Day. Sounds like a great deal to us!
