Mourinho and Costa in bust-up as Chelsea win again
“Yesterday we tried to protect [the pitch], we trained just a little bit”.

“My future, I think there are no rumours”.
Mourinho had a lot of questions to answer after the game following a bust up with star striker Diego Costa at half-time.
“It’s important now to qualify and hopefully in February, March when the Champions League becomes hot we are in a hot moment with better results in the Premier League too”, he said.
Chelsea player Abdul Baba Rahman returned to the starting line-up in the UEFA Champions League after sitting out for the weekend’s Premier League game. “Last year Liverpool didn’t qualify for the Champions League and I said before the season started that another big team will not qualify for the Champions League”. I won with Porto and with Inter when we were far from favourites.
“I reacted. He did too”.
The Blues are second in Group G of the competition with seven points with Dynamo Kiev in third on five points. “Ramires slid on the pitch and had a muscular injury”.
Chelsea’s first away win for over two months was overshadowed as captain John Terry was carried off on a stretcher in Haifa tonight. “The control inside, to have a situation to shoot”, said Mourinho, who nonetheless suggested Zahavi would need to aim a little lower than the champions.
Mourinho said: “The best way is to focus on football and the happiness it gives you”. “John has an ankle problem that we don’t know yet the dimension of”.
Mourinho felt the final scoreline was a touch harsh on Maccabi, who turned in a spirited performance while a man down. “I expect that we will continue to improve and be more competitive and try and take a point or win the game”.
Mourinho took issue with Costa’s lack of movement in the first-half but the Spain global went on to finish the match after the 52-year-old Portuguese displayed a more tender side in the dressing room. I think they will accept my comment and feel more my compliments.
“Only when we felt that we were in danger we had again a good reaction”.

Europe has offered Chelsea some respite during their poor start to the season.
