John Stamos: Actor sentenced to three years’ probation in DUI case

The Fuller House star was reportedly using GHB, a central nervous system depressant, to lean out ahead of his new show. Sources told the site he was using it as a fitness supplement. He was then hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he received a citation.

Stamos, who faced up to six months behind bars if convicted, checked himself into a live-in treatment centre following the arrest and subsequently blamed his mother’s recent death for his struggles.

Canyon News reached out to Public Information Officer Ricardo Santiago at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office to gain specifics as to what drug Stamos was under the influence of at the time of his arrest.

Actor John Stamos pleaded no contest on Tuesday to a misdemeanor charge of driving in Beverly Hills, California, under the influence of a drug and was sentenced to three years’ probation, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office said.

Stamos was instead sentenced to three years probation and has been ordered to attend 52 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, as well as a counseling session. Other cast members confirmed to return include Bob Saget, Dave Coulierand, Lori Loughlin, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber.
