Swachh Bharat is working, Mount Carmel girls shout out to Rahul Gandhi

The students again replied with a resonating “yes”, when Rahul Gandhi asked them, do they think the Make in India is really working. He was left completely speechless by the vociferous endorsement of Modi’s two pet schemes by the young girls of the college.

“Clean your country is a strategic national government programme?” He recovered and said: “Ok I don’t see Swachh Bharat working very well”.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s style of functioning and said “there were very few people with decision making powers at the Centre and one man decides every single decision”.

The second question was, “You talk about a suit-boot (Modi) government, but what’s wrong if it works for development and achieves economic growth…? It disturbs me as an Indian”, Gandhi said. This time, he got a mix of ayes and nays. “You think so!” he said. The result: he finally stopped asking.

But the kind of questions that came indicated that the most girls were not convinced of Rahul’s argument on the positive aspects of the Congress party and evil nature of Modi and the BJP.

Gandhi further said it’s always better to listen to someone who has an issue instead of “blanket attacking them”.

This session must be particularly revealing to Rahul and the Congress, because for the better part of his opening statement, he had blasted PM Modi, the BJP and the RSS. “That’s the way to solve problems in India- not by bullying, threatening & abusing!” he tweeted.

# My vision for India is what people of India want; discuss with people what they want. “I feel the more conversation, the better, the less nastiness, the better, the less hatred, the better”, he added. “We need to give a new face and image to the Congress”, he added.
