Two Irish men killed in Perth construction accident
Two construction workers, believed to be from Northern Ireland, have been killed in an accident in Australia.

According to the paper, the men were aged in their 20s and in the country on work visas.
Construction company Jaxon say all its sites will remain closed around the state of Western Australia.
Claire Tyrell, a journalist with the West Australian newspaper, said the two men were on a cigarette break with the incident occurred.
It is understood the men died immediately.
“Further to our earlier statement we confirm that JAXON’s Bennett Street apartment site in East Perth is closed and under the control of The Coroner following a double fatality earlier today”, the statement reads.
The incident was reported to have happened on the corner of Goderich Street and Bennett Street in East Perth at about 11.30am, Australian time.
A spokesperson for the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs said it was “aware of the case and stands ready to provide consular assistance”.

Police, St John Ambulance and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services are at the scene and the area has been cordoned off.
