Black Friday 2015 apps are a new experience this year with stores like Amazon, Target, Walmart, Staples, and Best Buy promising better deal and sales by using a store’s app rather than doing online or in-store shopping.

“If it’s not on the list and below the maximum price you listed as being able to afford, don’t buy it”, she said. Some will guarantee you get the item you need under the tree.

The long lines. The rabid rush for the best deals.

“Maybe we will get some productivity back on Monday”, Sides joked.

The usual cast of mega retailers has revised their Black Friday schedules to more family-oriented windows, but the doorbuster deals are still plentiful.

“If you want to go online and start doing your shopping a little early while you’re basting the turkey or doing your meal prep, you can start shopping online early instead of waiting ’til 6 p.m. that night to come into the store”, Jones said.

On Friday, the store will open from 5 am to 10 pm.

Black Friday is getting bigger and bigger and earlier and earlier. Just that idea of community matters, sitting around the table, enjoying your friends, enjoying your family.

That being said, there are a select few chains that have chosen to remain loyal to Thanksgiving and give their employees the holiday off. These stores include Barnes and Noble, Home Depot, and even Nordstrom’s.

The National Retail Federation predicts 135.8 million shoppers, or 59 percent of those surveyed, say they will shop over the holiday weekend.

On black Friday, Walmart will offer 95 percent of its sales online.

Bercu said it helps the local economy.

Those in the 25-34 age group also seem to be more likely to specifically support Small Business Saturday: 34.7 percent of those who are planning to or may shop on Saturday will specifically shop to support small businesses over the weekend.

“We have created Instagram photo opportunities around the mall, where guests can take a picture with their face in them and post to social media with #MerryMallidays and #Coke and have a chance to win at $1,000 shopping spree”, he said.
