Bindi Irwin wins US Dancing with the Stars
Bindi Irwin’s emotional freestyle dance with Derek Hough during the “Dancing with the Stars” season 21 finale brought the ballroom and viewers to tears, but has the Australian dancer been using sympathy to get viewer votes? Tonight’s live finale show, started off with an outdoor Christmas dance performance that included all of the pros and formerly eliminated contestants arriving back on the scene. She dedicated the dance to her late father, Steve Irwin, who died at age 44 in 2006 after a stingray attack. She will be there in the audience to support him, and she is eager to watch his final dances. Julianne Hough praised Bindi’s joy and consistency, and Tonioli called her a dancing delight. Kim Zolciak returned to perform an I Dream Of Jeannie routine, Gary Busey danced again, Carlos PenaVega gave us some more Magic Mike and Alexa PenaVega performed her Breaking Bad set. “I can’t believe I’m here”, Irwin screamed in excitement.

Before the performance, Bindi announced that it was never easy to reflect on her father and his legacy. “You do each moment to its fullest potential and each dance to its fullest potential and I am grateful for you”.
Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold were placed in third while Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess took home the second place trophy.
ET caught up with the dynamic duo after the star-studded finale on Tuesday, where the 17-year-old DWTS champ gushed over her supportive partner. Nick and Sharna kicked things off with a stunning routine that scored them a flawless 30, but Alek and Lindsay couldn’t wow the judges quite as well, and ended up walking away with a 27.

“Thank you for changing my life!” She then posted a winning picture on her Instagram and said, “I am speechless”. It can be somewhat boring if you feel confident going into the finale about what the outcome is going to be. The competition is really tight this season and it is anyone’s guess who will take the Mirror Ball trophy. “I love coming to visit, because my mum’s family is from OR”, she shares.
