Things are worse for Peyton Manning than any of us could have anticipated.
Forget 2016 for a second, though, because it’s not even clear if Manning will play again in 2015.
With Brock Osweiler under center at Chicago, the Broncos ran Kubiak’s trademark boot-action offense with more efficiency last week, establishing the run, utilizing multiple tight-end sets and avoiding turnovers. He completed 20 of 25 pass attempts for 250 yards and two touchdowns, leading his team to a 17-15 victory. “That’s the most important thing”, Kubiak said.
This doesn’t mean he had a setback in his rehab, nor does it indicate Manning faces increased odds of a season-ending surgery, coach Gary Kubiak said. In his first three years in Denver, he totaled 136 TD throws and just 36 interceptions.
“Certainly we’ll just try and pull all the film we can on him, get all the tapes, get a chance to take a look at him and his play-style”, Patricia said.
“We shouldn’t read anything into it”, Kubiak said. “So we’re going to focus on winning today and enjoy winning and we’ll go back to work next week”.
Peyton Manning will be sidelined until at least mid-December, the Denver Broncos announced Tuesday evening.
However, that might not be in the cards. It is obvious he has lost a step or two, but a less than 100 percent Manning is still better that most of the quarterbacks in the league. Osweiler revealed that he was preparing for his first start for a long time and did not waste a single day in preparing for it.
Osweiler was the second-round pick of Denver in 2012 and got his first career start after 43 months. Osweiler was handed the reins and may claim the starting job going forward. I am told there is an organizational split now on whether or not Osweiler is the future at quarterback but no one has ruled out the fact that he gets to prove himself to make his case over the next couple weeks.

According to CBS Sports, the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns are both interested in adding Manning to their team next season if he has no plans to retire or play with the Broncos.
