“Peter continues to improve and remains in guarded condition”, according to the statement.

The widely viewed video of the attempted execution sent fresh shock waves through Uptown neighborhoods already shaken by several brazen armed robberies in recent months.
Gold, 25, was shot in the stomach when he intervened to help a woman who was being dragged toward an SUV on the 1000 block of St. Mary Street.
“Someone knows who he is, someone knows where he is hiding”, Harrison said. They say this incident happened Friday, November 20th.
Gold’s cousin Bryan Baker lives in Jacksonville Beach and couldn’t believe waking up to the national news that his cousin had been shot – trying to be a good Samaritan.
Surveillance video captured Gold getting out of his vehicle and walking up to the gunman.
The footage then shows the gunman attempt to shoot the student in the head as he lies injured on the ground, but the gun then jammed. The gunman then took the woman’s purse and fled, said police. The woman was later found with minor injuries.
Police were looking for a suspect. He pleaded guilty in July 2012 to illegal carrying of a weapon and in May 2014 to stealing a motor vehicle. On the video, a man approaches the woman before dragging her down the sidewalk toward an SUV.
Cain, who turned 21 in May, says on his Facebook page he attended Banneker and North Clayton high schools, which are both in Georgia. He also completed his undergraduate studies there. The student’s family put out a statement through Tulane University thanking the community for their support and concern.
“Doesn’t surprise me that he would have pulled over his auto and attempted to save somebody”, Ryan O’Halloran, one of his classmate’s at Tulane, told ABC News. “Selfless” is what comes to mind”. I ask that you keep Peter and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
Peter Gold was shot in the stomach.
Tulane University and Crimestoppers are offering up to $12,500 for information leading to arrest and indictment.

Mayor Landrieu issues a warning to those helping Cain evade police, saying, “Anyone who harbors him is going to be arrested and you are going to be convicted to the fullest extent of the law, as well”.
