Google’s Star Wars VR transports you into The Force Awakens
With JJ Abrams’ The Force Awakens just around the corner, it’s important we know which parts of the Star Wars extended universe will apply to the new storyline and which we can forget about. She had to keep sneaking out of the theater and he still doesn’t know why (although he might know now).

“The Force Awakens” director J.J. Abrams reveals that he’s nearly done with the final cut of the film. It will also be shown on the giant screen at the Virginia Air & Space Center in Hampton.
More goodies are on the way between now and the movie’s premiere, too, including a virtual reality experience for Google Cardboard and a Star Wars Chrome experiment. The Star Wars VR debut is the result of a partnership between Disney, Google, and Verizon.
There you have it. Not much in the way of spoilers, but this is J.J.
Although Episode VII’s big debut is just under a month away, perfectionist Abrams has more work to do before he can officially declare the project complete.
The Google Cardboard Virtual Reality experience launches via the official Star Wars app and is available on both Android and iOS devices.

As the days leading to the opening of the latest Star Wars film seem like an eternity, Google gives fans a chance to fill that hunger with “Awaken the Force Within”. Google Map markers become directions for a TIE fighter or the Millennium Falcon, the Youtube progress bar become cool lightsabers, driver directions for Google’s navigation app, Waze will be read to you by C-3PO. You can head to google.com/starwars to access the new galaxy where users will be prompted to make a choice between the light and the dark side. Always a terrific interview, he appeared as guest to handle what may be the easiest job in entertainment circa 2015: Promoting “The Force Awakens”, which he directs, of course.
