Moments later, 12-year-old Makyleigh Anderson came out of the house.

Alphonso Carreker had stepped out onto his front porch on Terrace Avenue Monday afternoon to have a smoke when he heard the gunfire.

“It was like, bam, bam bam”. “It was like 15 or 20 shots”.

Columbus Fire personnel responded and pronounced three victims dead at the scene. His hands were up as he was fleeing, but then, according to Carreker, he turned towards the cops and reached for his waist. They shot him after a foot chase, Weiner said. None of the police were injured in the shooting.

Police didn’t discover the victims until after Kirk was shot and they went into the home. Her condition is unknown. The hospital said the family asked that further information not be released.

The shooting happened around 5 p.m. Monday on the west side of Columbus.

“My husband is shot”.

More gunshots could be heard in the 911 call.

Barry Kirk threatened the shooting after getting upset with an employee at the OH governor’s office in July 2009 over an unemployment claim, the records show. Anderson was friendly and always willing to help people, said Jeff Drown.
