Kees Vos: ‘Robin van Persie expected back at Manchester United for training
Manchester United forward Robin van Persie is on the brink of a move to Turkish club Fenerbahce after reaching an agreement with the Super Lig side.

The Dutchman has, reportedly agreed personal terms with the club and is ready to sign a four-year deal. A report in Turkish Football claims ex- Fenerbahce winger and Dutch worldwide Durk Kuyt spoke to van Persie about the club, convincing him to make the move.
The boss was joined by captain Wayne Rooney, who first to arrive at Carrington this morning, as well as Robin van Persie, David De Gea and new signing Memphis Depay as Manchester United begin their week of double training sessions ahead of the U.S. tour next week.
If Van Gaal is to bring trophies back to Old Trafford, he will likely have to spend big to do so. Despite firing the Reds to the title in his first year, his form has dipped terribly, with a paltry return of just 10 goals in all competitions last season.
Up until a few seasons ago, Manchester United were the dominating force in the Premier League, winning more titles than any other club could even dream about, and with supporters from across the globe, they looked untouchable. By the end of the campaign struggling loanee Radamel Falcao was preferred to van Persie in the manager’s starting XI. Additionally, he scored a sensational free-kick for the U18s in the Manchester derby, curling it into the top corner with his left boot. When Van Gaal took over the 20-times champions a few days after the tournament ended, Van Persie was considered the favourite to be named United’s new leader following Nemanja Vidic’s departure.
Reputable sources such as The Guardian have stated that the Netherlands worldwide could well be on his way to Fenerbahce, with United seemingly comfortable with letting the veteran move on.
If this is indeed it for Van Persie as a key player on a major European club, it was a quick rise and fast descent.

Youngsters James Wilson, Tyler Blackett and Paddy McNair, were all given a taste of first-team by action by the manager last season, and Gribbin could be the next youngster to emerge from the youth team.
