Google is pulling out all the stops in its effort to promote Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Meanwhile, other Google properties – Waze, Google Translate, and the Android Wear Watch Face – will have their own Star Wars related tweaks rolling out. Press enter. Then sit back and enjoy.
“Instead of the usual Google list of blue-fonted links against a sterile white background, the search term from the famous opening movie line summons a Star Wars style opening crawl, with the yellow-fonted links receding into space”. When you put the sound on, John Williams’ iconic main title march begins.
Starting today, players can collect, fight and dominate in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, from Electronic Arts Inc. Google is going to have a mighty hard time topping this, but something tells me it’ll find a way.

The new Star Wars movie is only some weeks away and everything out there seems to be getting in the spirit (and we don’t mean the holidays). Google does say on its frequently-asked-questions page that “Star Wars events are automatically added to your calendar so you can keep up with the big events”. Too bad nothing they can do will compare with Google’s unique bag of tricks. “The Force Awakens“, the seventh episode in the nine-film series, is in theaters December 14.
